Soul Step Records Announces SSR-098!

Soul Step Records is proud to announce the eagerly awaited return of Matt Duncan with his newest set of tracks, “I Will Write Your Song.”

During the COVID era, Matt shared out to his fans that he wanted to open up and challenge himself by asking for people to reach out and have Matt write a song about their life.

Matt worked on tracks for almost two years before dialing in and selecting some of the best stories and sounds from this songwriting era.

This album is best categorized as 1970’s AM Gold for the 21st Century. Fans of Vulpeck, Steely Dan, and ELO will find sounds to groove to on this LP. Matt’s incredible ability to arrange is on full display as the different stories lend themselves to different sounds. Retro and authentic music fills these grooves to the brim.
